and horse drawn carts with beer barrels and people in traditional clothes.
Finding the Oktoberfest is easy, just get to the Hauptbahnhof (central railway station) and follow the crowds.
The tents are large (some truly huge), loud, and have a mad Oktoberfest atmostphere. The ~7% beer in 1 litre jugs helps.
The other part of the Oktoberfest is a fun fair and food stalls. There is enough to do and see even without visiting a beer tent.
There is a strong police presence at the Oktoberfest. Be good.
