So you've visited Munich, what do you take back for friends and family? I would avoid the tourist hats as they are really for the erm... tourists. I think the ideal gift (remember I'm a man) is a beer jug. You can buy a 1 litre Maß, or a 500ml glass. Where to buy? Try any one of the tourist shops near the Hofbräuhaus near the Marienplatz, or one of the tourist shops on the Neuhauser str., that's the main shopping street.

The Hofbräuhaus has a shop too with all sorts of goodies and is very good, and if you forget completely, reach the airport and discover you have no presents. Don't worry, there's a tourist shop there too in the central area near the newstore.
